I am running for the Menomonee Falls School Board because I care deeply about the future of our children and the strength of our community.
For the past decade, I have dedicated my nursing career to behavioral health and substance abuse, working with individuals and families facing some of life’s most difficult challenges. Through this work, I have seen how early support, strong relationships, and access to the right resources can change the trajectory of a person’s life. It has also shown me how critical it is to recognize and address mental and emotional health early, before small struggles become lifelong obstacles.
As both a nurse and a mother, I have seen firsthand how a child’s well-being directly impacts their ability to learn, grow, and succeed. Our schools must be places where students feel safe, supported, and challenged: academically, emotionally, and socially. I believe every student deserves access to the resources they need, especially those with special needs and those struggling with mental or behavioral health challenges.
Responsible Stewards of Taxpayer Dollars
I believe we must be responsible stewards of taxpayer dollars. Families in Menomonee Falls work hard, and they deserve a school district that uses funding wisely, transparently, and with a clear focus on student success. Fiscal responsibility is not about cutting corners — it is about prioritizing what truly matters in the classroom and in student support.
Students do Not Learn in a One-Size-Fits-All Way
I support an education that prepares students not just for tests, but for life. Students do not learn in a one-size-fits-all way, and our schools must embrace different learning styles, strengths, and challenges. By supporting flexible, student-centered approaches and encouraging critical thinking and character development, we can better equip every child with the skills they need to become capable, confident adults.
I am committed to listening to parents, partnering with educators, and working collaboratively to ensure Menomonee Falls schools remain strong for generations to come. Together, we can build schools that reflect our community’s values and give every child the opportunity to thrive.
